Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer

Position Overview: 
We are looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes.

It is a varied role where you will assist the Sales team with providing technical solution design proposals to our portfolio of clients.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £45,000 and £55,000 a year with a car allowance and a commission rate in addition.

Hybrid working & Travel

The role requires 2 days a week in the Milton Keynes office. The Professional Services team tend to come in on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

The role will require ad-hoc travel to client sites. The majority of clients are local to the Milton Keynes area, but there will be some requirement to travel further as required.

Responsibilities: 
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Understanding and providing the definition of complex project scope, goals and deliverables.

• Creating proposals and sales documentation in partnership with other members of the sales team.

• Ensuring that all projects are correctly scoped and professional services quoted accordingly

• Assist Business Development Manager/Client Managers as required in prospective client and existing client meetings with regards to technical queries.

• Reviewing new solutions and creating business cases.

Qualifications & Experience: 

The right candidate for this role will have worked in a field engineering or onsite engineering role in an MSP environment. It is not essential to have pre-sales experience for this position, although it would be an advantage.

You will have a track record of:

• Building strong client relationships

• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

• Planning and deploying commissioning and migrations for server, productivity, LAN, WAN, and storage platforms and technologies

The following technical knowledge is also required:

• MS Windows server technology and licencing

• Active Directory

• Firewalls. Routers and VPN technology

• M365 licensing, Azure, O365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams

• Hyper-V & VMWare
