Position Overview:
To action the implementation of complex project engineering activities, working with the Head of Professional Services. Ensuring project goals and objectives are met and smooth transition to the ServiceDesk Team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and provide the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Understand the definition of the required implementation tasks and resource requirements.
- Understand and assist in the development of all project plans.
- Understand and assist in the planning of project timelines.
- Implement the Project Implementation work, ensuring all activities are actioned in line with project plans and timelines.
- Track and update project activities and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
- Escalate when the project is at risk of not delivering to the agreed requirements or timescales.
- Managing client expectations through clear communications.
- Support colleague development to enable them to deliver technical tasks to Mirus standard and are able to resolve issues confidently and effectively.
- Mentoring team members to ensure processes and levels of service are adhered to.
- Take responsibility for own continual professional development, ensuring up to date industry and technical knowledge.
- Create and maintain customer specific infrastructure documentation.
- Undertake all other reasonable requests.
Where required you may be asked to help provide support to the Service desk and Field Teams, where the additional following responsibilities would be expected:
Manage and work to internal and customer SLA’s, escalating any concerns.
End to end ownership of problem resolution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience of managing or supporting large scale projects.
- Mentoring colleagues
- Experience of working in a customer facing role
- Familiar with working to SLAs to meet both customer and contract requirements.
- Working as part of a wider service delivery function.
- Supporting multi-site clients.
- Expert level of knowledge and application in:
- MS Windows Server Technologies
- Experience of managing or supporting large scale projects.
- Exchange Technologies
- Active Directory
- Firewalls, Router & VPN Technologies
- Office 365
- VMWare
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Autopilot
- Experience as a Senior Service Desk or Senior Field based engineer supporting SME’s.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Creative, analytical problem solver with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking.
- Methodical approach suitable to resolution of client requirements.
