We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Service Desk Engineer, looking for the next step in their career in IT to join our team in Milton Keynes!
About you:
As a Level 2 Service Desk Engineer at Mirus IT, you will be familiar with providing 2nd line support to customers, but you'll also be looking for seniority in your role and a step up in your career.
You will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, resolving their complex IT issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of their IT environments. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and driving our commitment to excellence.
You’re a knowledgeable individual and have developed some great skills having worked in the technology industry, previously providing support at a 2nd Line level or above.
We want to continue to develop our employees, and with this role, you can extensively enhance your technical ability, and go onto work with us at 3rd Line level and above. The career progression path is clear, and we are committed to your learning, offering payment for exam passes in technical skill areas such as Microsoft or VMWare.
You’re well aware of what your daily duties may look like. What follows are the systems you’re able to work with and where you’ll showcase your IT skills:
- Office 365 (inclusive of Azure, Intune, Sharepoint)
- Server infrastructure
- Networking
- Hypervisors (inclusive of ESXi and HyperV)
- Server and desktop operating systems
To be successful in this role, you will be familiar with:
- meeting your targets and adhering to SLA's
- answering all calls
- taking ownership of your tickets
- problem solving
Whilst this is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will be required to be in our Milton Keynes office 5 days a week for the first 6-8 weeks of their employment with us to ensure they are fully supported in this role. This is subject to change based on performance. Thereafter, the hybrid remote policy means you will work from the office twice a week, with three days at home.
