Position Overview
We are looking for a Build & Deployment Technician to join our team in Milton Keynes.
This is an entry-level role that will allow you to start building a career in the IT industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, configuration, repair and deployment of customer hardware within the workshop. This includes managing the receipt and dispatch of equipment, and completing upgrades and repairs.

This role is based out of our Milton Keynes office, full-time and onsite.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring that the workshop runs smoothly at all times. This will include responsibilities such as:
Build and configure laptops for new starters, including upgrading RAM and SSDs where required.
Process returned hardware from leavers.
Carry out laptop and desktop repairs such as battery and screen replacements. Where replacement parts are required, submit requests to the Procurement team with full device make/model details and part numbers where available.
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, liaising with customers via phone and email and providing regular updates.
Ensure new starter laptops are prepared and shipped to customers within agreed timescales.
Assisting the Service Desk teams with the below:
Office 365 User Account Setup and Licensing
Office 365 Apps Installation and Setup
Customer 3rd Party App Installation
Windows 11 Patching and Driver Updates
Autopilot Device Enrolment and Setup
Intune Device Management Setup/Enrolment
Qualifications & Experience
This is an entry-level position. Prior experience with building or fixing laptops would be useful but the most important attributes we are looking for are:
Confident communicator (verbally and in writing)
Enthusiastic team-player
Strong interest in building a career in IT
A methodical and resilient approach to problem-solving
Ability to work alone under minimal supervision
Great attention to detail
