About Us:
Mirus IT is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Site based service desk engineer, covering multiple clients sites. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch IT support to our clients and are looking for a talented individual to contribute to the success of our service delivery team.
Position Overview:
As a 2nd Line Service Desk engineer, you will provide deskside and remote technical support to multiple customers, from multiple offices across the Herts / Beds / Bucks region as well as Central London. The role offers exposure to multiple cloud, network and on-prem technologies including 365, Intune and Auto-pilot and is a great opportunity to develop and expand your technical knowledge! You will represent Mirus providing face to face support onsite to all levels of users within our customer base.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the smooth running of our client’s systems and network infrastructure ensuring they get maximum benefits from them. Activities may include:
- Hardware and software installations.
- Manage and work to internal and customer SLA’s, escalating any concerns.
- Create and maintain customer specific infrastructure documentation.
- End to end ownership of problem resolution.
- Managing client expectations through clear communications.
- Take responsibility for own continual professional development, ensuring up to date industry and technical knowledge.
- Onsite cover (Holiday/Sickness cover for site-based Engineers).
- Undertake all other reasonable requests.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience as a service desk engineer or field based engineer supporting SME business, with experience Installing, configuring & troubleshooting issues across the following platforms: -
- Microsoft 365 (including Intune and auto-pilot)
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Microsoft Server (and Exchange) technologies
- Microsoft Office Products
- Apple Mobile Technologies
- Android & Windows Mobile Technologies
- Intermediate level of knowledge and application in
- Office 365 Administration
- MS Windows Server Technologies
- Exchange Technologies
- Active Directory
- Firewalls, Router & VPN Technologies (install, configure & troubleshoot)
- Group Policies - create, breakdown, troubleshoot issues.
- Backup Software Technologies
